King Yeongjo, the father that killed his son.

King Jeongjo, the son who witnessed his father’s death.

Lady Hyegyeong, the mother who protected her son until the end.

And the Crown Prince Sado, the man who despaired at the center of this whirlwind.

Narrated by the Japsang figurines on the roof that witnessed the palace’s history from the eaves,

A time travel unfolds in Changgyeonggung Palace in the fall of 2024.

- Capacity: 800 people per show (advance reservation required)

3. Performance Synopsis

The cry of a newborn echoes through Gyeongchunjeon Hall of Changgyeonggung Palace in 1752. Born amid historical turmoil, and survived the whirlwind of fate, this is Jeongjo, who will become the 22^nd King of Joseon. His grandfather, King Yeongjo, tries to set aside his anger and disappointment from Crown Prince Sado’s repeated ridiculous acts, and seeks new hope in the infant. Meanwhile, Crown Prince Sado, plagued by hallucinations, makes choices that defy filial piety. Lady Hyegyeong, determined to protect her son until the end, and young Jeongjo face a whirlwind of sharp politics ahead…
