‘KOREA HOUSE,’ the official government reception hall of Korea

- Opened by the Public Affairs Office and officially named the ‘KOREA HOUSE’
‘RENOVATION OF KOREA HOUSE’ for a new beginning
[1978~1980, KOREA HOUSE Renovation phase]

- Started renovation based on traditional Korean architecture, modeled after Jagyeongjeon of Gyeongbukgung Palace (1978 ~ 1980)
‘KOREA HOUSE,’ introducing Korea

- Reopening of KOREA HOUSE, entrusted to the Korea Cultural Assets Preservation Foundation (currently Korea Heritage Agency)

- Started offering traditional wedding services
1986
- Expanded folk theater facilities (from 100 seats to 195 seats)

- Constructed new gardens, “Cheongwoojeong” and “Nokeumjeong”

- Set new record in viewership (1 million) for traditional performance arts

- Awarded the “Best Institution Award” for People who Create a Beautiful Korea (2003)

- Maintenance repair of folk theater

- Enlargement and reopening of Chwiseongwan, remodeling of traditional performance arts theater

- Set new record in viewership (1.5 million) for traditional performance arts
2015
- Designated the “restaurant for authentic royal cuisine experience” (Korea Tourism Organization)
2016
- Developed the “Suragan(royal kitchen) sampling” program for royal cuisine
