The exhibition's title, Meta Heritage, blends "Meta," symbolizing transcendence, transformation, and abstraction, with "Heritage," signifying our historical legacy. This reflects our aim to present national heritage in innovative ways, using digital technologies and artistic interpretations. Beyond mere historical reflection, the exhibition endeavors to forge connections between the past and future through cultural content infused with modern art and technology.

Structured into three main parts, the exhibition explores the Gaya Tumuli, the Bangudae Petroglyphs, and other significant national heritage sites across seven local governments. Through Meta Heritage, ARTECH aims to illustrate how our heritage can take on new life in the digital era. They demonstrate the harmony between nature and legacy, reinterpret national heritage through captivating visual artworks that smoothly bridge the past and present and offer visitors new experiences that traverse the boundaries between reality and virtuality.

○ About Korean Heritage Media Art

Korean Heritage Media Art is a project that selects and supports several local governments each year to host media art events exploring national heritage through various ICT technologies, such as projection mapping. Among these events is a media art exhibition organized by the Korea Heritage Agency (KHA) itself. Since its inception in 2021, this project has strived to promote the value of national heritage and contribute to the revitalization of local economies.
