World Heritage Festival

Sharing the Value of World Heritage
The World Heritage Festival showcases and shares the value of Korea's UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites, offering a festival that welcomes both domestic and international participants. It provides a special opportunity to experience the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) and historical significance of these heritage sites in innovative and engaging ways.
Hosted by the Korea Heritage Service and organized by the Korea Heritage Agency, the World Heritage Festival selects local governments annually through a competitive process. Each year, the festival presents a variety of programs—including performances, interactive experiences, exhibitions, and seminars—that highlight the unique characteristics and stories of the respective World Heritage sites.
The World Heritage Festival offers a "special experience of feeling, enjoying, and sharing the value of World Heritage." By creating sustainable content for cultural heritage, the festival aims to expand opportunities for everyone to engage with national heritage, promote balanced development, and lead the way in shaping future cultural values. Join us in preserving and celebrating the timeless significance of World Heritage.
